Tampa Bay History Center

Tampa Bay History Center

The History Center came to us to promote a new exhibit starring an interactive pirate ship and artifacts recovered from Florida shipwrecks. While speaking to their core audience of older, highly educated individuals, the History Center wanted to excite the public and spark first-time visits (because, obviously, there’s no age limit for interest in pirates). With the exhibit still under construction, visuals were scarce. I led ideation and copywriting for a bold text-driven campaign.

WHAT I DID

  • Created 3 campaign concepts

  • Collaborated with designers to execute

  • Wrote all campaign copy

FINAL CAMPAIGN

The client loved the subtle wordplay of "We've got some ship you need to see." I built on the idea with additional variations focused on the exhibit's artifacts. (My dad’s still laughing about the one below.)

It’s hard to top pirate puns, but here are a few other projects.
